Howard Casey "Tedo" Stewart

Howard Casey “Tedo” Stewart, age 89, resident of Eads and husband of Katherine Stewart, died Monday evening, October 2, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Stewart were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Cecil Bellew, retired United Methodist minister, officiating. Interment followed in the Eads Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Stewart was born September 17, 1928 in Middleton, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Lee Stewart and Eula Casey Stewart. He was a graduate of Middleton High School and was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Stewart was married March 5, 1957 to the former Katherine Pittman and he enjoyed gardening. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katherine Pittman Stewart of Eads, TN; his daughter, Barbara Turner of Collierville, TN; two sons, Glenn Stewart (Brenda) of Collierville, TN, Richard Stewart (Sandra) of Fisherville, TN; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jason Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Josh Henderson, Nicholas Turner, Edward Jones, Carl Johnson and J.P. Chandler.
