I. INEZ MCNABB USREY

October 8, 1930 — January 27, 2009

ISABELL INEZ MCNABB USREY, a resident of Southaven, Mississippi and native Fayette Countian died at 11:15 P.M., Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Golden Living Retirement Center in Southaven, Mississippi where she had resided for one year. She was 78 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Usrey were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 31st at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Loyd Shelton, Baptist Minister of Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in the Stanton Cemetery at Stanton, TN. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Usrey was born in Somerville on October 8, 1930 the daughter of the late John Bryan McNabb and the late Mallie Ruth Horton McNabb. She was educated in the Fayette County Public School System and moved to the Memphis area as a young person. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was also employed in the Production Department of the Eichelberger Printing Company in Memphis for a number of years before her retirement.

She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed special times with her family and friends. She was a lifelong resident of the Fayette and Shelby County, Tennessee and Desoto County, Mississippi areas.

Survivors of Mrs. Usrey include her daughter, Pamela Diana of Memphis; one son, Richard Knighton of Memphis; her sister, Shirley Culver of Kansas City, MO; her brother, Larry McNabb of Lakeland; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Emmet Beake.

Those honored to serve as casket bearers were family members and friends.
