Inez M. Harvey, age 89, resident of the Somerville Community, retired from the Federal Farmers Home Administration, wife of the late William Hemphill Harvey and a person involved in the religious and community activities of Fayette County died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the National Healthcare Center in Somerville.
Services for Mrs. Harvey will be at 11 Thursday morning at the Somerville First United Methodist Church with visitation one hour before services. A Private Interment will be in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. Harvey graduated from the Memphis School of Commerce and was married for 61 years to William Hemphill Harvey, well-known manager of the Fayette County Farmers Cooperative for many years before his retirement. She will be remembered as a friend who touched the hearts and lives of many.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by three children, W. Lawrence Harvey of Los Angeles, CA, Linda C. Perkins of Dodge City, KS, Martha K. Harvey of Englewood, CO; two grandchildren, Holly Perkins, Steve Perkins (Elizabeth); four great grandchildren, Kayle, Josh, Chad, Madaline; and many nieces and nephews that she considered her children.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Somerville First United Methodist Church, 202 S. East St, Somerville, TN 38068.
