Inez Mildred Parrott Symonds, resident of Olive Branch, MS, former resident of Memphis, native of Williston and wife of the late Clint Leon Symonds entered Heaven on Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012 at the Trinity Baptist Hospice House in Collierville where she had been a patient for six weeks. She was 88 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Celebration of Life Graveside Services for Mrs. Symonds were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 16th at the Evergreen Cemetery near Williston with Dr. Ken Story of the Somerville First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Symonds was born March 3, 1924 in Williston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Parrott and Nonnie Guy Parrott. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and continued her education at the Memphis School of Commerce.
She was married June 18, 1953 to Clint Leon Symonds, who preceded her in death. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service 10 years ago and was an avid and devoted University of Memphis Tigers fan. Mrs. Symonds enjoyed attending church, exercising, gardening, flowers, traveling and golf.
Mrs. Symonds is survived by her daughter, Le Anne Debbie Symonds and her sister, Dot Reeves.
Mrs. Symonds was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Rodgers and Nonnie Lois Reeves; and two brothers, Carl Parrott and Emil Parrott.
