James Malcolm Bryan, age 73, resident of Moscow, departed this life Sunday evening, April 17, 2016 at the Bailey Park Community Living Center in Humboldt, Tennessee.
A Gathering of Family and Friends of Mr. Bryan was held from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Bryan was born June 30, 1942 in Macon, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Bryan and Verna M. Hogan Bryan. He was employed as a truck operator for Pat Salmon & Sons, Inc. before his retirement. Mr. Bryan enjoyed playing the piano, boating, water sports, golfing and motorcycles. He also loved visiting the beach with his family.
Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Maria Bryan of Moscow; two daughters, Jeannie Marie Bryan Wilson (Ricky) of Collierville, Susan Ann Bryan Bingham (Michael) of Middleton; his sister, Ann Bobbitt (Rex) of Williston; three grandchildren, Jameson Michael Wilson, Jason Fish (Angela), Julie Fish Edwards (Bill); his mother-in-law, Hellen Szer; his “favorite” aunt, Norma Jean Davis of Cordova; five great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Friends of the Fayette County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 443, Somerville, TN 38068 or the Shelby County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 713 S. Mendenhall Road, Memphis, TN 38117.
