James Carroll Franks, age 82, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and husband of Joyce H. Franks, departed this life Friday afternoon, March 23, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Franks was born April 9, 1935 in Montgomery, Alabama to Russ C. Franks and Elvie Turpin Franks. He married Joyce Hendrix on his birthday in 1996. He grew up in the farming days and began working in the fields at an early age. Mr. Franks served our country in the US Army for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and fishing, but he mostly enjoyed the time he spent cutting grass and working in the yard. Mr. Franks loved spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren.
Mr. Franks is survived by his wife, Joyce H. Franks of Moscow, TN; his three daughters, Barbara Bradford (Jerry) of Moscow, TN, Kelly Waren of Slayden, MS and Kimberly Marley (Joshua) of Byhalia, MS; his three step-sons, Darrell Jackson of Memphis, TN, Craig Jackson of Memphis, TN and David Keeton (Jennifer) of Arlington, TN; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russ C. Franks and Elvie Turpin Franks and one grandson, Dusty Joyner.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Franks will be held at a later date.
