James Daniel Holt, resident of the Somerville LaGrange Road in Fayette County and partner in Holt Painting Contractor in Somerville died Friday afternoon, June 26, 2011 in Memphis. He was 28 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Services of Remembrance for Daniel were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, July 1 st at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with the Eulogy and Personal Remarks given by Friends and Family. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Daniel was born March 8, 1983 in Memphis to David Randall Holt and Bonnie Jean Simmons Holt. He received his education at Union Academy and Gateway Baptist School. Daniel was associated with his family in the operation of Holt Commercial Painting Contractors for fourteen years. He was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and was a Spiritual person who enjoyed fishing, gardening, motorcycles and muscle cars. Daniel will be remembered for special times with his family.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his sister: ReAnna Holt of Somerville; a brother: David Holt (Jennifer) of Nesbit, MS; paternal grandmother: Mable Holt of Memphis; maternal grandmother: Inez Simmons of Somerville; a niece: Skylar Jean-Louise Holt and a nephew: Jaxson Dean Holt Pleasants.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were David Holt, Randall Holt, Zack Baker, Joey Tolleson, Jimi Lumpkin and Adam Fawcett.
