James David Edwards, age 71, resident of the Burrowtown Community and husband of Debbie Prosser Edwards, departed this life Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Edwards was held at 4 P.M. Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Bells, Tennessee. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Edwards was born December 15, 1946 in Bells, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Bells High School and was a carpenter for much of his life. He was employed with the West Tennessee Correctional Center in Fort Pillow, Tennessee before his retirement. He was married February 26, 1982 to the former Debbie Prosser. Mr. Edwards was most recently a resident of the Burrowtown Community and was a member of Braden Baptist Church. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, deer hunting, making knives and woodworking.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debbie Prosser Edwards of Burrowtown, TN; two daughters, Stacey Renee Davis (Bruce) of Bells, TN, Samantha Casey Edwards of Mason, TN; two brothers, Chris Edwards of Bells, TN, Tom Edwards of Bells, TN; and two grandchildren, Darby Davis of Bells, TN and Addison Davis of Bells, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. Edwards and Margaret Norville Edwards and his brother, Glen Edwards.
