Jean Marie (Donnelly) Drake

Jean M. Drake, age 88, resident of Cordova, TN and wife of Wayne Drake, departed this life Sunday morning, November 25, 2018 at her residence to spend forever in the presence of her SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  Now there is no more pain, no more suffering, no more life questions because years ago she asked JESUS to be her SAVIOR.

A Memorial Service celebrating Mrs. Drake’s life was held at 6:30 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Christ Church, 5955 Yale Rd., Bartlett, TN. The officiating ministers were Rev. John Latimer and Rev. Randy Lockley. Interment was in Memphis Memory Gardens on Germantown Parkway during a private family graveside service.

Mrs. Drake was born May 12, 1930 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late Henry Donnelly and Frankieline Lewis Donnelly. She was a graduate of Holy Names Catholic High School Class of 1948 and was married November 25, 1975 to Timothy Wayne Drake. She was employed in the Customer Service Department at General Electric Major Appliances for 30 years before her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Drake was a member of Christ Church in Bartlett and she enjoyed shopping, traveling, University of Memphis basketball and special times with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Drake is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wayne Drake of Cordova, TN; her daughter, Jeanine Bourland of Collierville, TN; her son, James C. Kindig of Somerville, TN; her stepson, Jeff Drake (Tricia) of Wayne, MI; her brother, T. Michael Rossi of Millington, TN; nine grandchildren, Misty Coronado (Frank), Brittany Fussell (Chris), James E. Kindig II, David W. Kindig (April), Austin C. Kindig (Dallas), Gabriel Drake, Noah Drake, Abigail Drake and Evelyn Drake; and five great-grandchildren.
