Jeffery Scott (Jeff) “Kool-Aid” McClure, resident of the District 15 Community in Fayette County, employee of Crop Production Services in Whiteville and husband of Kim Robertson McClure died Friday evening, January 25, 2013 as a result of injuries received in a vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 57 at Grand Junction. He was 44 years of age.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. McClure were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 29th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Larry West of the Eagle Ministry House of Prayer for All People in District 15 officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. McClure was born September 11, 1968 in Somerville, the son of Joe McClure and Eva Mayes McClure. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of the Moscow and Somerville areas. He was married August 7, 1987 to the former Kim Robertson, who survives.
He was employed as a truck operator for the Crop Production Services in Whiteville at the time of his death and was a Christian. “Jeff” will be remembered as a person who enjoyed the friendships of many. Participating with his wife and family in church activities and being with friends were favorite pastimes.
In addition to his wife of 25 years, Mr. McClure is survived by three daughters, Brittany McClure, Brooke McClure, Rebekah McClure, all of the home; his parents, Joe and Eva McClure of Moscow; his sister, Garland Casey, who is stationed with the U.S. Navy at Gulfport, MS; and two brothers, Joseph K. McClure of Moscow and John D. McClure of Moscow.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Ronnie McClure, Tony McClure, Dewayne Hughey, Robin Landsell, Kevin Clements, Tim Parks, Brian Mays and Mark McClure.
Honorary casketbearers were Jr. Tice, Ray Mays, Carl Jr. McClure, Jesse Mays, David Morrison, John Crisp, Curtis Mabon and Wesley Taylor.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Eagle Ministry House of Prayer for All People, 8750 Jernigan Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.
