Jenny Ann (Thompson) Covey

Jenny Thompson Covey, age 52, lifelong resident of Bartlett, Tennessee, departed this life Friday afternoon, December 14, 2018 at her residence.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Covey was held at 12 P.M. Monday at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating minister will be Bro. Gary Joyner, pastor of the Evangelical Full Gospel Church in Moscow. Interment followed in the Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Jenny was born November 7, 1966 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert Payne “Bob” Thompson and the late Virginia Faith Mitchell Thompson. She was a graduate of Bartlett High School Class of 1984 and was employed as an accountant at Signet Promotions in Bartlett. She was a lifelong resident of the Bartlett area and was of the Baptist faith. Jenny enjoyed shopping and will be remembered for being a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.

Ms. Covey is survived by her son, Matt Covey of Chattanooga, TN; her father, Bob Thompson of Bartlett, TN; and her sister, Joani Dewitt (Jim) of Williston, TN.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Chase DeWitt, Aaron DeWitt, Nick DeWitt, Layne Ray, Matt Covey and Ed Covey.
