Jerome Dennis (Marshak) Majkrzak

Jerome Dennis (Marshak) Majkrzak, age 78, resident of Somerville and United States Marine Corps Veteran, departed this life Thursday evening, December 17, 2015 at the National Healthcare Center in Somerville.

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Majkrzak will be conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 with visitation one hour before services. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Majkrzak was born April 14, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. He received his education in the Catholic School System in Memphis and served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a young person. Mr. Majkrzak was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a volunteer fireman. He was employed as a safety engineer for DuPont before his retirement. He was a volunteer in the Marine League and was active in the Toys for Tots program.

Mr. Majkrzak is survived by his wife of 10 years, Carolyn White Majkrzak of Oakland; his daughter, Jami Dalby (Randy) of Somerville; three sons, Robert Wardlaw (Cheryl) of Williston, Daniel J. Wardlaw (Alexandra) of Somerville, Martin G. Wardlaw (Vickie) of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Ronald Majkrzak (Betty) of Millington, Richard Majkrzak (Geanette) of Cordova; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Majkrzak and Bernice A. Majkrzak; his brother, John Majkrzak; and his grandson, Robert Wardlaw, III.
