Jerry Saylors, age 61, resident of Pensacola, Florida, departed this life Monday morning, March 17, 2025 at HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola.
Jerry was born June 26, 1963, the son of Judy Carol Lenahan Burford and the late Ronald Eugene Saylors. He graduated from Hammond Hills Christian School in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Memphis State University in 1983 with a major in engineering and where he played football. Jerry served his country in the United States Coast Guard for 15 years and worked for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company / SERVS as an oil spill response coordinator.
Mr. Saylors owned Crisis Management Solutions for 10 years, a company that cleaned up oil spills. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola and loved traveling across the world, playing the guitar and singing and cooking. Jerry will be remembered for being a family man who loved Jesus and was a fan of the New Orleans Saints.
Mr. Saylors is survived by his daughter, Shelby Saylors-Struhs (Michael); his son, Joshua Saylors; his mother, Judy Carol Lenahan Burford; his sister, Lisa Saylors-Maxwell (Alan); his grandson, Everett Struhs; his niece, Sarah Maxwell; and his nephew, Patrick Maxwell.
Funeral Services for Mr. Saylors were held at 3 P.M. Monday, March 24, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Kirby Tabb of Open Door Baptist Church officiating. Remarks were given by Lisa Maxwell. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Alan Maxwell, Patrick Maxwell, Sarah Maxwell and Joshua Saylors.
