Jesse Collin Young

Jesse Collin Young, age 32, resident of Memphis, departed this life Saturday evening, September 29, 2015.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Young will be conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Morning Sun Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2682 Morning Sun Drive, Cordova, TN 38016. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Young was born June 8, 1983 in Memphis, the son of Lori Lee Phillipy Young and the late John Lynn Young. He attended Shelby County Schools before moving to Knoxville and was a graduate of West High School in Knoxville, class of 2002. He proudly served as a 5th generation journeyman electrician. He was employed with Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Memphis and was of the Episcopal faith. Mr. Young enjoyed camping, sports, going to the mountains and tinkering with electronics and machinery. He had a special love for his children.

Mr. Young is survived by his daughter, Avery Bennington of Oakland; two sons, Shawn Patrick Young of Harriman, Brendan James Young of Memphis; his mother, Lori Lee Phillipy Young of Memphis; his sister, Angela Young of Sunbright; his brother, John Wilson Young of Sunbright; his half-brother, Anthony Norris of Philadelphia, MS; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Phillipy of Memphis.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dewayne Phillipy.
