Jessie Allen Moore, resident of Memphis, former resident of the Braden Community and employee for Bennett Construction Company departed this life Sunday morning, April 14, 2013. He was 20 years of age and died following injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Moore were conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, April 20th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Jessie was born December 3, 1992 in Memphis, the son of Harold Edward “Peddy” Moore, Jr. and the former Rhonda Michelle Smith. He received his education in the Fayette and Shelby County Public School Systems and was a resident of the Braden and Arlington areas of Fayette County for much of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith and had been employed by the Bennett Construction Company in the Braden Community for four years.
He was a lifelong resident of Shelby and Fayette counties and enjoyed anything mechanical that included automobiles, drag racing, three wheelers and repairing vehicles. He enjoyed having good times with friends and family.
Jessie is survived by his mother and stepfather, Michelle Smith and Sam Bennett of Memphis; his father, Harold “Peddy” Moore of Memphis; his sister, Brandy Nicole Moore of Memphis; his brother, Jerry Andrew Moore of Memphis; his paternal grandmother, Theresa Joslin of Memphis; and his maternal grandfather, E.J. Smith of Memphis.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Jerry Moore, Aaron Smith, Daniel Hodge, Brandon Rogers, Josh Brooks and Steven Wheeler.
