Jimmy Markle, age 71, resident of Arlington and husband of Joan Marie Watson Markle, departed this life Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2016 at his residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Markle were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with John Horne, pastor of the Christ Church in Arlington, officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Markle was born April 9, 1945 in Fayette County. He received his education in the Shelby County Public School System and was married January 2, 1965 to Joan Marie Watson. Mr. Markle was a lifelong resident of the West Tennessee area and was employed in the heavy equipment operations for much of his life before his retirement. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed dancing, rabbit hunting, gardening, riding horses, raising chickens and NASCAR. Special times with his grandchildren and visiting with his family and friends was an important part of his life.
Mr. Markle is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Marie Watson Markle of Arlington; his daughter, Mandy Dillard and her husband, Kevin, of Barretville; his son, James Markle and his wife, Gina, of Barretville, TN; his sister, Ann Holden and her husband, Wayne, of Oakland; and four grandchildren, Tori Markle, Emma Markle, Lexi Dillard and Nolan Dillard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Robert Markle and Mary Lou Emma Sain Markle.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Cecil Watson, Ronnie Watson, Mark Watson, James Watson, Wayne Watson, Homer Daniels, Darin Teuscher and Jason Watson.
