Jimmy Rush

James Larry “Jimmy” Rush, age 56, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of Misi Rush, departed this life Friday morning, February 5, 2021 at his residence.

Jimmy was born June 15, 1964 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Larry Allen Rush and Janie Laverne Caviness Rush. He  was employed as a mill supervisor at Central Woodwork and was married September 11, 1993 to Misi Boston Rush. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping, fishing and riding four-wheelers.

Mr. Rush is survived by his wife, Misi Rush of Oakland, TN; two sons, Tony Rush (Angela) of Como, MS and James Rush (Mandy) of Oakland, TN; four brothers, Ronnie Rush (Rhonda) of Eads, TN, Jerry Rush of Memphis, TN, Tommy Rush of Bartlett, TN and Billy Rush (Christina) of Atoka, TN; and four grandchildren, Matthew Rush, Rosaleigh Rush, Casey Hisaw and Brandon Hisaw.

Funeral Services for Mr. Rush were held at 12 noon Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Joe Jernigan officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery at New Albany, Mississippi. The officiating minister at the graveside was Bro. Derrick Finley.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Bubba Poe, Sam Coats, Joe Kusmierz, Brian Rush, Anthony Rush and Scotty Nuccio.
