Jimmy "Jimbo" O'Donald Hawkins

Jimmy O'Donald "Jimbo" Hawkins, age 72, resident of the Somerville Community, departed this life Friday morning, December 5, 2014 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Hawkins were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, December 8th at the Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville with Bro. Gary Joyner of Moscow officiating. Interment followed in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Hawkins was born August 17, 1942 in Somerville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Hawkins and Genevie Green Hawkins. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and served as a painter for over 25 years before his retirement in 2008. He was of the Baptist faith and a longtime resident of Fayette County. He enjoyed attending yard sales, fishing, hunting and had a special love for his family and church friends.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his daughter, Dana Voles (Ricky) of Somerville; his son, Keith Hawkins (Paula) of Somerville; his brother, Micky Hawkins of Somerville; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Evangelical Full Gospel Church, 325 Price Road, Moscow, TN 38057.
