Joan Ellen (Snyder) Strickler

Joan Snyder Strickler, age 78, resident of Diamondhead, Mississippi and wife of the late Donald P. Strickler died at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. At the request of Mrs. Strickler, all services will be private.

Mrs. Strickler was born July 10, 1934 in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Snyder Jr. and H. Rebecca Engle Snyder. She received her education in the Pennsylvania Public School Systems and lived in the Reading, Pennsylvania and Diamondhead, Mississippi areas for most of her life. She was married to Donald P. Strickler, who preceded her in death in 2004. A Christian, she enjoyed animals and her pet canines.

Mrs. Strickler is survived by three sons, John Strickler of Reading, PA, William Strickler of Hamburg, PA, James Strickler of Diamondhead, MS; her sister, Mary Ann Batdorf of Lake Placid, FL; her brother, Robert Snyder of Vacaville, CA; and four grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
