Jo Ann (Tripp) Taylor

Jo Ann Tripp Taylor, age 69, resident of Oakland and wife of Paul Taylor, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, November 13, 2018 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Richard Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. A visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Taylor was born October 18, 1949 in Clarksville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Argus C. Tripp and Mary Sue Nichols Tripp. She received her Associate’s Degree from Sedalia Community College in Missouri and was employed as a credit coordinator for Federal Express for many years before her retirement. She was married October 15, 1971 to Paul Taylor and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed painting in oil, acrylic and watercolor, reading, coloring and special times with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul Taylor of Oakland, TN; her daughter, Kelly Taylor of Oakland, TN; her son, Steve Taylor of Oakland, TN; two sisters, Judy K. Pucci of Millington, TN, Vickie K. Tripp of Columbia, MO; and her grandson, Dalton James Sparwasser of Lewisburg, MS.
