John Stanley Drinnon

John Stanley Drinnon, age 79, resident of the Somerville Community and husband of Patricia “Pat” Drinnon, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 5, 2015 at their residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Drinnon were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Germantown Baptist Church. A Private Interment for Mr. Drinnon was in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Drinnon was born November 24, 1935 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dana Everett Drinnon and Eppie Livesay Drinnon. He was the husband of Patricia Elliott Drinnon and was a pharmacist for many years before his retirement. Mr. Drinnon was a former Germantown alderman, Union University trustee and deacon at Germantown Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Drinnon is survived by his daughter, Patricia “Diane” Drinnon of New York, NY; two sons, David Drinnon (Sherry) of Katy, TX, Steven Drinnon (Allyson) of Americus, GA; and six grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Historic Church Restoration, c/o Methodist Healthcare Foundation, 1211 Union Avenue, Suite 450, Memphis, TN 38104 for the restoration of the historic Germantown Baptist Church chapel.
