John Michael Dwyer, age 30, resident of the Somerville Community and carpenter for Walter Smalley Construction Company, departed this life Wednesday evening, February 11, 2015 at the Regional One Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Dwyer were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 14th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Dan Burns, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Dwyer was born November 24, 1984 in Memphis, the son of William Orrington Dwyer and Judith Meyers Dwyer. He received his education at Briarcrest Christian School and at the University of Memphis. He was a resident of the Somerville Community and employed as a carpenter at Walter Smalley Construction Company in Germantown. He was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed horses and leathercraft.
Mr. Dwyer is survived by his parents, William and Judith Dwyer of Somerville; his sister, Rachel DiPaolo (William) of California; and his brother, Jeffrey Dwyer (Lori) of Memphis.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
