JOHNNIE CATHERINE RICHENBACK 1939 – 2010
Johnnie Catherine Patterson Richenback, a longtime resident of Rose Road in Fayette County, died at 10:30 P.M. Wednesday July 21, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital of Fayette in Somerville where she was taken after becoming suddenly ill at her home. She was 70 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 24th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Rodney Vanwinkle, pastor of the Faith Church of God in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery on Whitten Road in Memphis. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Richenback was born September 10, 1939, the daughter of the late Mack Patterson and the late Susie Bryant Patterson. She was educated in the public school system of Fayette County and was married March 7, 1959 to Charles Paul Richenback, a retired truck driver, who survives.
Mrs. Richenback was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed flower & vegetable gardening and was known by her family and friends as a caring person. She held a particular compassion for those who are less fortunate.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Richenback is survived by two daughters, Sandra Barker of Somerville, Donna Baker of Saulsbury; her son, Charles Richenback of Oakland; her sister Mary Lou Patterson of Cordova; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Richenback was preceded in death by a son, John Richard Richenback.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Stephen Baker, Korey Booth, Stephen Burns, Dennis Hayes, Jesse Hayes and Gene Jackson.
