Joni Lynn Prosser, age 65, resident of Memphis, Tennessee, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1956 in Evansville, Indiana.
Joni was the epitome of Christian love and grace in action. She was extremely sensitive to the needs of others. She had the unique ability to know when someone needed a special word of encouragement or prayer. She had a gentle and judgement-free nature and genuinely cared for people.
Joni loved serving God and sharing her faith. She served faithfully in music ministry for 31 years with her two sisters and helped in countless other Christian ministries. Joni adored her family and greatly enjoyed spending time laughing at the goofy shenanigans that usually ensued when all together.
Joni is survived by her husband of 33 years, Danny Prosser, formerly of Fayette County; her son, James C. Bunkley, III and daughter-in-law, Susan Bunkley; grandchildren, Brandon Bunkley, Lillian Bunkley, Dylan Tindall, Zakkary Johnson, Skylar Bunkley, Shelby Bunkley and James C. Bunkley, IV; a great-grandchild, Reagan Tackett; and seven siblings, Patricia Ross, Angela Bailey, Roseann Funez, Shari Keough, Julie Halsted, Bonnie Blue and James L. Harris, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Bunkley; mother, Linda Ross; father, James L. Ross; and brother, David Harris.
There was a private Home Going Celebration with family on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
