Jose Fermin Garcia, resident of Nesbit, Mississippi and former resident of Fayette County and residential and commercial painter died September 20, 2010, at the Memorial Hospice, Inc. in Clarksdale, Mississippi where he had been a patient for four days. He was 59 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Garcia were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, September 26 th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Daniel Frizzell of Manantial DeVida Assembly of God Church in Memphis, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.  Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Garcia was born in El Salvador and had been a resident of the United States for the past 25 years.    He was a Christian and was employed as a Commercial and Residental Painter in West Tennessee and North Mississippi for 15 years until his recent illness. Mr. Garcia enjoyed fishing and nature. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Vicenta Juarez Garcia, his daughters, Elsy Salguero (Cruz) of Nesbit, Mississippi, Maria Aracely Garcia of Belize and Ana Lilian Garcia of Belize, 8 grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters.
Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to Manantial DeVida Assembly of God Church, 4730 Raleigh LaGrange Road, Memphis, TN 38128.
