Joseph Maclin Taylor
February 21, 1928 — December 16, 2016
Joseph M. Taylor, age 88, died at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport Tennessee on Friday, December 16, 2016.
Joe was a lifelong Memphian until moving to be close to family in 2013. He graduated from South Side High in 1945. After serving three years in the Air Force (1946-1948) he attended Memphis State College receiving his B.S. in 1951, M.A. 1952. Joe was a long time member of the First Unitarian Church of the River and served for many years as Vice President and Manager of U.M. & M Credit Corporation Southeastern District office in Memphis.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Inez G. Taylor, who died May 27, 2003.
He leaves behind two sons, Joseph M. Taylor Jr. of Thornton, CO, Leslie M. Taylor of La Plata, MD; his daughter, Carol March of Sedalia CO; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Hardeman County, Tennessee.
