Joseph "Joe" William Menne
July 23, 1939 — April 17, 2016
Joseph William “Joe” Menne, age 76, resident of Munford and husband of Christina Eve Bobbitt Menne, departed this life Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2016 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Menne was born July 23, 1939 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin B. Menne and the former Adelaide Hercules. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local # 474 for 57 years. A kind and gentle, selfless man… He was loved.
Joe leaves behind his wife, Christina Eve Bobbitt Menne; his loving daughter, Celeste Denise Menne Daugherty (Jeremy) of Cordova; his son, Joseph William Menne, Jr. (Susan Hinck) and his dear grandson, Nicholas, all of Drasco, Arkansas. He leaves his brother, Charlie Menne (Carol Keller) of Hernando, MS; two sisters-in-law, Maurine Lamkin Menne of Bartlett, Shirley Menne of Georgia; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and dear family members, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosemary “Sissy” Willfong, Marguerite “Peggy” Blakney, Martha R. Godfrey; and three brothers, Martin “Buddy” Menne, Paul Menne and James “Jimmy” Menne.
Memorial Services and Interment for Mr. Menne were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
