Joseph "Joey" Ray Corbin

Joseph “Joey” Ray Corbin died peacefully at age 50 on Friday, September 16th at 4:55 am and was surrounded by family in the Hospice Unit of West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL.

He and his wife Norma have called Pensacola home for the last 4 years and previously resided in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by wife, Norma Agent Corbin, two daughters, Brooke Corbin of Sedalia, MO and Ashley Corbin of Murfreesboro, TN., granddaughter, Reece Corbin, his mother, Bettie Chandler Corbin of Memphis, TN, sister, Chandra Corbin Payne (John) of Beaufort, SC and nephew, Corbin Payne of Rock Hill, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Corbin of Somerville, TN.

Joey was always willing to help a neighbor or friend and gave from his heart completely. He enjoyed grilling for his friends, hanging out at the pool, gardening, watching old movies and Titan’s football. He loved working on his race car, building things for the house and going to the beach. His enormous personality and selflessness will be sorely missed.

Joey was previously employed at Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical as Project Manager. He was self-employed in Murfreesboro as J & J Heating and Cool, LLC for 13 years. Joey graduated from Fayette Academy and State Technical College of Memphis where he earned two associate degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Corbin were conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Burke Howcroft officiating. Interment followed in the Melrose Cemetery at Whiteville, Tennessee.
