Joshua Eugene "Josh" Hall

Joshua Eugene “Josh” Hall, age 39, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of Lorin Hall, departed this life Thursday evening, March 20, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Josh was born December 6, 1985 in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of Barbara Hall and the late Andrew Granville Hall, Sr. He received his education at Morris Chapel Christian School in Somerville and was married August 8, 2015 to Lorin Hall. He was the owner of Hall’s Landscaping for 12 years, a business that he enjoyed working with his nephew and training him in the family business.

Josh, AKA “Buckethead”, was an avid hunter, fisherman and gun collector who enjoyed riding four-wheelers and had a love for restoring hot rods. He had a giving soul who would help anyone in need and loved his family dearly, especially all his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Josh is survived by his wife, Lorin Hall of Oakland, TN; two sons, Preston Hall and Leeland Hall; his mother, Barbara Hall of Oakland, TN; two brothers, Andrew “Andy” Hall, Jr. (Heather) of Somerville, TN and Rich Hall (Sabrina) of Oakland, TN; his paternal grandmother, Barbara McNabb; his brother-in-law, Wesley Payne; five nieces, Madison Meyer, Bailey Payne, Kayla Hall, Kinley Payne and Kinsley Cossitt; six nephews, Carson Meyer, Braden Hall, Jackson Cossitt, Knox Payne, Lucas Hall and Easton Hall; and his beloved dog, Rip.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sonya Joan Hall.

Funeral Services for Josh were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Hickory Withe Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Holland officiating. Interment followed in Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jimmy Jones, Brandon McNabb, Carson Meyer, Braden Hall, Wesley Payne and Joseph Denham. Honorary pallbearers were Andrew “Andy” Hall, Jr., Preston Hall and Leeland Hall.

The family requests that memorials be directed to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
