JOSHUA DAVID WRIGHT

JOSHUA DAVID "JOSH" WRIGHT, a resident of the Hickory Withe Community and one of "God's Special Children" died at 7:37 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2008 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett where he had been a patient for one day. He was 20 years of age and died following a brief illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Wright were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 29th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel in Oakland with the Rev. Boyce Wilson, Pastor of the District 15 Community Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Eads Cemetery at Eads, TN. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.

Mr. Wright was born in Memphis the son of Linda Wright and Wayne Beckett. Known for his pleasant disposition and love for family and friends, Josh enjoyed movies and playing games.

He was a lifelong resident of Shelby and Fayette Counties and was a resident of the Macon/Rossville and Oakland areas before moving to the Hickory Withe Community.

Josh was a Christian and will be remembered as a people person who loved everyone.

He served as an inspiration to all that knew him including his family and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wright is survived by his sister, Ashley Wright of Hickory Withe; his maternal grandmother, Betty Wright of Memphis; his half-brother, Wayne Beckett of Somerville and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Kevin Gaylon, Wayne Beckett, Donnie McClendon, Troy Cates, Richard Watson and Edward Polk.

The family request that Memorials be directed to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
