Joyce Anne (Browning) Morris

Joyce Anne Browning Morris, age 76, resident of Somerville and wife of Walter "Buster" Morris, departed this life Friday morning, May 20, 2016 at her residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Morris were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Ken Joines officiating. Interment was in the Friendship Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Morris was born January 10, 1940 in Moscow, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherwood Browning and Mattie Malone Browning. She was a graduate of Union University and was employed as a teacher for many years before her retirement. She was married February 16, 2002 to Walter "Buster" Morris and enjoyed special times with her grandchildren. In earlier years, Mrs. Morris enjoyed dancing.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Walter "Buster" Morris of Somerville; four daughters, Susan Barber of Babson Park, Florida, Mary Jaye Hall and her husband, Larry Hall, of Heathrow, Florida, Nancye Cornelius of Frostproof, Florida, Sara Phillips and her husband, Lee Phillips, of Somerville; her brother, Belden Browning; eighteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her canine companions, Regis and Mimi.
