Juanita Frances (Bell) Allen

Juanita Frances Bell Allen, age 80, resident of Moscow and wife of Tom Allen, departed this life Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2017 at the Poplar Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Collierville.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Allen were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Thomas Foy, pastor of the Kirk Baptist Church in the Kirk Community of Fayette County, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Allen was born September 14, 1936 in Collierville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Nolan Bell and Blanch Beatrice Anthony Bell. She was a graduate of Collierville High School and was married July 29, 1955 to Tom Allen. Mrs. Allen was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a bank teller at the People’s Bank in Collierville before her retirement. She enjoyed shopping and reading. Mrs. Allen will be remembered for her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and the love she possessed for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tom Allen of Moscow, TN; her daughter, Teresa McConkey (Barry McConkey) of Madisonville, TN; her son, Barney T. Allen (Leslie L. Allen) of Gallatin, TN; five grandchildren, Molley Neace (Casey Neace) of Florence, KY, Amanda Hoagland (Jake) of Maryville, TN, Mallory L. Allen of Gallatin, TN, Tommy Pierce (Whitney Pierce) of Roanoke, VA, Britton T. Allen (Fiancée, Alexis Clark) of Gallatin, TN; five great-grandchildren, Caden Hoagland, Olivia Pierce, Will Hoagland, Katy Pierce, Adlynn Allen; and baby Neace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Jean Long and Maggie Laverne Bell.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jonathan Allen, Ricky Long, William Allen, Bubba Allen, Britton Allen and Tommy Pierce.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Shelby County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 713 S. Mendenhall Road, Memphis, TN 38117.
