Judy Ann Burnwatt Hadley, resident of Memphis, a native of Fayette County and wife of Arturo Zuniga died Monday morning, February 4, 2013 at her residence. She was 50 years of age and died following an illness of several weeks.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Hadley were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 7th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Kent Bailey of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Hadley was born February 25, 1962 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Neely Burnwatt and Eva Jeanette High Burnwatt. Mrs. Hadley was educated in the public school systems of Shelby and Fayette Counties and was a graduate of the Sheffield High School in Memphis. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Memphis and Somerville areas her entire lifetime.
She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered for her devotion to her family with a special love and dedication to her children and grandchildren. She was well-known for her large collection of “tiger” and “Doughboy” figurines and memorabilia.
Mrs. Hadley is survived by her devoted husband, Arturo Zuniga of Memphis; two daughters, Julia Hadley of Memphis, Misty Ashley of Memphis; her son, Keith Hadley of Memphis; two sisters, Jennifer Arellano of Memphis, Janet Walker of Bennettsville, SC; and two grandchildren, Dezmin Hadley of Memphis and Dezya Hadley of Memphis.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Jose Flores, Francisco Flores, Isaac Vazquez, Luis Coronad, Homero Zuniga, Georathan Vargla, Daniel Cardona and Edgar Villareal.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
