JUDY ANN JOHNSON PATTAT, a resident of the Somerville Community and native Fayette Countian died peacefully at 1:35 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 52 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Ms. Pattat were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, April 24th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Rodney Vanwinkle, Pastor of the Faith Church of God in Somerville, officiating. Special reflections were given a daughter of Ms. Pattat's, Penny Porter. Interment followed in the Eads Cemetery at Eads, Tennessee. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Ms. Pattat was born January 14, 1957 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter Johnson and Willie Beatrice Butler Johnson.
She received her education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of Fayette and Shelby Counties.
A Christian, Ms. Pattat was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the hospitality industry for a number of years before her illness.

who exemplified beauty and grace, Ms. Pattat "lit up a room" when entering. She had a great love for her children, her family and many friends and her beautiful smile and laughter will be long remembered by those who loved her.
Ms. Pattat enjoyed life the fullest, always seeking out opportunities to lend a helping hand and share a kind word. Her greatest gifts were her generous nature and her talent of never meeting a stranger.
Survivors of Ms. Pattat include three daughters: Emily Pattat and Fiancee Clay Williams of Memphis and Penny Porter (Casey) and Sarah Pattat, both of Somerville; her son Paul Pattat, U. S. Army Serviceman currently stationed in Fort Drum, NY; five brothers: Jimmy Johnson (Phyllis) of Collierville; Benny Johnson (Delores) of Rossville; Terry Johnson (Stephanie) and Ronnie Johnson (Pam), both of Collierville and Greg Johnson (Tina) of Eads; her granddaughter, Anna Paige Connally and grandson, Chase Porter; four nieces and nine nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Johnson.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Jeremy Crook, Jonathan Crook, Ashley Johnson, Bradley Johnson, David Johnson, Donald Johnson, Dusty Johnson and Karl Johnson.
Honorary casket bearers were Jason Crook, Wendell Crook, Blake Johnson, Michael Johnson, Noah Johnson, John Leatherwood and Andy Smith.
