Juene Collier Collins, age 78, resident of Williston, Tennessee and wife of the late William Harold Collins, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville, Tennessee.
Juene was born August 21, 1946 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of the late Robert Collier and Juann Finner Collier. She graduated from Kingsbury High School in Memphis, Tennessee and was the owner of Collins Wood Parts before her retirement. Juene was married June 1, 1962 to William Harold Collins who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Collins was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova for 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, sewing upholstery, floral designing and traveling.
Mrs. Collins is survived by two daughters, Julie Burmood (Paul) and Jill Maxwell (Todd); five grandchildren, Lauren Wellborn (Chet), William Burmood, Collin Burmood (Shae), Ethan Maxwell and Emma Maxwell; two great-grandchildren, Everly Wellborn and Lily Wellborn; and her aunt, Pamela Swartz.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Swanson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Collins were held at 2 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiants were William Burmood of Bellevue Baptist Church and Brad Fowler of Fayette Baptist Church. Interment followed in Maple Springs Cemetery in Medon, Tennessee.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Paul Burmood, Todd Maxwell, William Burmood, Collin Burmood, Chet Wellborn and Ethan Maxwell.
