Julia "Judy" Crawford

Julia “Judy” Smith Crawford, age 74, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of the late Robert L. Crawford, departed this life Sunday morning, March 1, 2020 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Judy was born September 11, 1945 in Dyer, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert O. Smith and Mamie Rhea Smith. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School and was employed as an administrative assistant at the Fayette County Clerk & Masters Office in Somerville before her retirement five years ago. Judy was a member of First Baptist Church in Somerville and enjoyed reading.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by two sons, Kevin Crawford (Michelle) of Clarksville, TN, Ken Crawford (Kathi) of Somerville, TN and three grandchildren, Davis, Victoria and Kifton. She was preceded in death by her husband who died February 15, 2004, Robert L. Crawford; her parents, Robert and Mamie Smith; and her brother, Bobby Ray Smith.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Crawford were held at 1 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Stan Smith, pastor of First Baptist Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Wade Langston, Randy Rhea, Nathan Smith, Jack Smith, Henry Diffee and Robert Gates.
