Julia Lawrence (Roberts) Murphree

Julia Lawrence Roberts Murphree, resident of Memphis and registered nurse for the Baptist Healthcare System, departed this life Monday morning, October 6, 2014 at her residence. She was 50 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Murphree were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 8th at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Jeff Roach of the Hope Church in Cordova, officiating. Graveside Services were conducted at 12 Noon Thursday, October 9th at the Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville, Alabama. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Murphree was born June 26, 1964 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Lee Roberts II and Joyce Carter Roberts. She received her education at Germantown High School and was a graduate of the Methodist School of Nursing in Memphis. She was a resident of Albertville, Alabama for a number of years before moving to Memphis in 2011. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Baptist Healthcare System for over 20 years.
Mrs. Murphree was a member of the Hope Church in Cordova and enjoyed outdoor activities that included attending football games and camping. She will be remembered for the love that she cherished for her children.
Mrs. Murphree is survived by her two sons, Tanner Roberts Murphree of Germantown, William Harris Murphree of Germantown; her brother, Randy Wooddell (Debbie) of Memphis; and her sister-in-law, Jaime Lee Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Lee Roberts II and Joyce Carter Roberts; and her brother, Edwin Lee Roberts III.
