Kathy Lou Hill

January 7, 1957 — October 2, 2014

Kathy Lou Hill, resident of Grand Junction, longtime resident of Collierville, departed this life Thursday morning, October 2, 2014 at the Bolivar General Hospital. She was 57 years of age.

Services of Remembrance for Ms. Hill were conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 6th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel with Bro. Arnold Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasants Cemetery near Rossville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Ms. Hill was born January 7, 1957 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Leon “Polk” Hill and Annie Mae Pleasants Hill. She received her education in the Fayette County Private School System and was a graduate of Fayette Academy in Somerville. She was a member of the Kirk Baptist Church near Collierville.

Ms. Hill was a devoted employed with Wendy’s Restaurant in Collierville for 15 years before retiring for health reasons. She will be remembered for the love she cherished for her grandchildren and family.

Ms. Hill is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Hill Davis (Terry) of Grand Junction; three sisters, Shirley Ann Hill Smith (Arnold) of Moscow, Betty Jean Hill Bobbitt (Kenneth) of Moscow, Cora Mae Hill Lewis (Jimmy) of Slayden, MS; two brothers, David Leon Hill (Mary) of Collierville, Donald Mark Hill (Dorothy) of Henderson, TN; and five granddaughters, Tiara Hill, Kayla Hill, Andriah Hill, Jeannine Hill and Jasmine Hill.

Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Pleasants Cemetery Association, 235 Linwood Drive, Rossville, TN 38066, the Alzheimer’s Association, 713 S. Mendenhall Road, Memphis, TN 38119 or to the American Diabetes Association, 5587 Murray Road, Suite 105, Memphis, TN 38119.
