KATHY ELLEN WILSON SULLIVAN

August 14, 1950 — January 12, 2009

KATHLEEN ELLEN WILSON SULLIVAN, a resident of Alexander Drive in Fayette County and a native of Tucson, Arizona died at 1:30 P.M. Monday, January 12, 2009 at her residence. She was 58 years of age and died following an extended illness.

A Celebration of Mrs. Sullivan's Life took place at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville at 2 p.m. Friday, January 16th with Chaplain Richard L. Kilpatrick of the Caris Hospice Organization in Somerville, officiating. A special presentation was offered by Chaplain Leroy Davis of the Shelby County Sherriff's Department. Mrs. Sullivan's family and friends provided remarks and reflections on her life. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Sullivan was born August 14, 1950 in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Charles Daniel Wilson, now deceased and the former Dee Likes Wilson, who survives.

Mrs. Sullivan was a former resident of El Paso, Texas, and Deming, New Mexico, before moving to Memphis in 1982. She moved to Fayette County three years ago to be near her family, and was a member of the Hope Presbyterian Church in Memphis.

Mrs. Sullivan had been employed in earlier years by the Wright Medical Corporation in Arlington, and was later employed by AAA Service Company of Memphis, before retiring eighteen months ago for health reasons.

She enjoyed nature and out of door activities that included attending rodeo activities with her family and grandchildren. She had a special love for her horse, "Peaches" and for her pet canine, "Reba". Her two grandsons were an important part of her life.

Survivors of Mrs. Sullivan include her daughter, Tammy Essary (Ray) of Somerville; her mother, Dee Bowington (Homer) of El Paso, TX; her sister, Lori O'Dell (Gary) of Bellingham, WA; one brother, Pat Wilson (Diana) of Byhalia, MS and two grandsons, Gray Essary and Jimmy Essary.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wilson in 1981.
