Kay (Jordan) Forrester

Kay Jordan Forrester, age 73, longtime resident of Somerville and wife of the late Lawrence “Larry” Warren Forrester, departed this life Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at her residence.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Forrester was held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Somerville with Bro. Stan Smith, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel in Somerville.

Kay was born October 19, 1945 in Somerville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joseph Malcolm Jordan and Martha Stark Jordan. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School Class of 1963 and was married October 6, 1973 to Lawrence “Larry” Warren Forrester who preceded her in death on September 5, 2016. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of First Baptist Church in Somerville. Kay enjoyed going to the movies, traveling, fishing and going to the lake with her husband and family. She will be remembered as a people-person who loved the special times she had with her family members and friends.

Mrs. Forrester is survived by her son, Stephen Forrester (Rebecca) of Somerville, TN; her brother, Jimmy Jordan (Brenda) of Williston, TN; and two granddaughters, Mary Agnes Forrester and Phoebe Ellis Forrester.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Justin Wainscott, Blake Neill, Ellis White, Johnnie Pattat, Wayne Daugherty and David Fortune.
