Keith O'Donell Hawkins

Keith O’Donell Hawkins, age 52, resident of Somerville and husband of Paula Bias Hawkins, died Friday morning, September 8, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Hawkins were conducted at 3 P.M. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville with Bro. Gary Joyner officiating. Special music was provided by John Ed and Donna Watkins. Interment followed in the Morris Chapel Cemetery in Somerville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Hawkins was born July 11, 1965 in Somerville, Tennessee. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was employed in the construction and woodworking business, including painting and roofing houses, for much of his life. He was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church and will be remembered as a humble Christian man of God. His family states that the Lord inspired him to write a book, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. Mr. Hawkins enjoyed raising chickens and roosters and he had a special love for his family.

Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife, Paula Bias Hawkins of Somerville, TN; his daughter, Whitney Hawkins (fiancé, Jeremy Hall) of Somerville, TN; three sons, Corey Hawkins (Tiffany) of Somerville, TN, Colton Whitten (Christy) of Selmer, TN, Myles Whitten of Ramer, TN; his mother, Ava Watkins Hawkins Pulliam of Somerville, TN; his grandmother, Hazel Watkins of Somerville, TN; his sister, Dana Voyles (Rick) of Somerville, TN; his brother, Chris Pulliam (Brandy) of Somerville, TN; and seven grandchildren, Cheyenne Hawkins, Aubrie Hawkins, Ryleigh Logan, Baylee Hawkins, Braxton Whitten, Shelby Whitten and Michael Sanders.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy O’Donell Hawkins and his grandfather, Aubrey Watkins.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Billy Gammel, Josh Thompson, Brandon Bishop, Jason Watkins, Jimmy Lynn Watkins and Timmy Watkins. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Voyles, Aaron Dewitt, Brandon Staggs and Hunter Pulliam.
