KELLYE RENEE RAINES

August 20, 1982 — June 11, 2008

KELLYE RENEE RAINES, a resident of the Oakland Community and employee of Skimo's Restaurant in Cordova, died in Memphis on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. She was 25 years of age and died unexpectedly.

Funeral services for Kellye were conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, June 16th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with the Rev. Carl Meyer, Pastor of the Oakland First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Vildo Cemetery near the Whiteville Community in Hardeman County. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home-West Chapel of Oakland.

Kellye was born August 20, 1982 in Memphis the daughter of Tammy and Richard Raines. She moved at an early age to Fayette County where she received her education at Oakland Elementary School, Fayette Academy and Morris Chapel Academy. She continued her education at the High Tech Institute.

Kellye was of the Baptist Faith and was a lifelong resident of the Shelby and Fayette County areas.

Her survivors include her son, Holden McCraw of Oakland; her parents, Tammy and Richard Raines of Oakland; her sister Lisa Raines of Oakland and her grandparents, Joe and Faye Raines of Whiteville. She was also survived by a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents, Raymond and Arbelle Austin.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were John Hunt, Jimmy Hunt, Christopher Barrett, Tony Barrett, Ken Rowe and James Griggs.

Scott Boelcke and Justin Smith served as honorary casketbearers.
