Kenneth Harris Garrison

Kenneth Harris Garrison, age 92, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and husband of the late Ola Beatrice Duffel Garrison, departed this life Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his home.

Kenneth was born March 18, 1931 in Joy, Arkansas to his parents, Irene Clay Garrison and Herman Garrison. He was a Navy Korean War Veteran and served from 1951 to 1953 until the war ended. He was married to his childhood sweetheart in 1950 to Ola Beatrice Duffel Garrison and they moved to Memphis. He was a cattle farmer for many years and started working for MLG&W in 1950 as a lineman, certified electrician and foreman, and later retired from the same company. He was a 60-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was an independent truck driver.

Mr. Garrison is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sparkman (Michael) and Phyllis Kelman (Dave); three grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Rhodes (Melissa), Kevin Sparkman (Sonya) and Amy Ladner (Wayne); his great-grandchildren, Brandon Rhodes, Clark Kelman (Hart), Gracie Sparkman, Belle Sparkman, Cooper Ladner, Paige Ladner, Dylan Cochran, Bam Cochran, Maci Rhodes, Abby Rhodes, Beatrice Rhodes, Gavin Rhodes, Burke Kelman and one great-grandchild due in January.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ola Beatrice Duffel Garrison; his parents, Herman and Irene Garrison; his daughter, Jan Garrison Baker; two sisters, Louise Simpson and Wilma Andrews; two brothers, Garthel Garrison and Glen Garrison; and his grandson, Alexander George Everitt.

A visitation for Mr. Garrison will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kevin Sparkman, Dave Kelman, Wayne Ladner, Cooper Ladner, Josh Hatchett and Clark Kelman.
