Kenny Hart

May 18, 1943 — December 24, 2013

Dolphis Kenneth “Kenny” Hart, resident of the Macon Community, retired bakery salesman in the Memphis area and husband of the late Linda Rickman Hart, departed this life Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013 at his residence. He was 70 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Hart were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, December 30th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with David Hubbard, a family friend, officiating. Interment followed in the Magnolia Cemetery at Collierville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Hart was born May 18, 1943 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolphis Oskar Hart and Mary Louise Dawkins Hart. He received his education in the Collierville Public School System and continued his education at Memphis State College. Mr. Hart developed a love for music at an early age and was known in the area as an accomplished trumpet player, performing in earlier years with the Memphis Symphony.

He was a Christian and had been a resident of the Macon-Oakland Communities since 1989. He had lived in the Pickwick, Tennessee area in earlier years and will be remembered for his love of pets, sports and attending car shows with a special interest in convertibles.

Mr. Hart is survived by his daughter, Karen Brandi Moore of Memphis.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Nicholas Hubbard, Russell Hubbard, Christopher Hubbard, Justin Hubbard, Austin Hubbard and Tyler Hubbard.

The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
