Kermit Everett Letchworth

Kermit Everett Letchworth, age 68, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and husband of Gail Goodman Letchworth, departed this life Wednesday evening, March 14, 2018 at the Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Letchworth were conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Freddie Clifft, pastor of the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Letchworth was born May 13, 1949 in Booneville, Mississippi. He received his education at Hills Chapel in Prentiss County, Mississippi and was employed as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Somerville and enjoyed hunting, riding horses, NASCAR, music and playing the guitar.

Mr. Letchworth leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 19 years, Gail Goodman Letchworth of Somerville, TN; his daughter, Trinity Jenkins (Jacob) of Oakland, TN; his son, Ace Letchworth of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Ann Bailey (Jimmy) of Tishomingo, MS, Martha Stewart of Brighton, TN; his brother, Tony Letchworth (Patricia) of Germantown, TN; and his granddaughter, Rylie Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Everett Letchworth and Ruby Johnson Letchworth; his sister, Sandra White; and his brother, Wayne Letchworth.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Marty Martin, Jimmy Umbarger, Jacob Jenkins, John Treadway, Chris Borden, Heath Borden and James White.
