Kevin Layton German

Kevin Layton German, age 46, resident of Brighton, Tennessee, departed this life Monday, September 17, 2018 after an extended illness.

Funeral Services for Mr. German were held at 3 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Franklin Weems and Bro. Nathanael Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. German, son of Linda Nix German and William Layton German, was born November 11, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. He received his education in the Shelby County and Tipton County School Systems. He graduated from Munford High School and had many jobs in the customer service field. He loved people and always made them laugh. His sense of humor was unique but so was he. Mr. German was very creative, artistic and fun-loving. His heart was just too big for his 6-foot 7-inch body. His family, especially his daughters, meant the world to him.

Mr. German is survived by his mother, Linda Nix German. He was preceded in death by his father, William Layton German. He leaves behind his brother, Tony German; two beautiful daughters, Brooklyn German and Ashton German Lehman and her husband, Anthony of Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary K. Nix, Estell Nix, James Madison German and Paralee Thompson German. He also leaves behind a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, a multitude of friends and a former wife, Kimberly Hanks, who has been an influence in his life over the years. He will be missed.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Dillon Nix, Jerry Skelton, Jimmy German, Kerry Smith, Jack Joyner, Thurman Kee, Tommy May and Anthony Lehman.
