Kevin Lyle “K.K.” Kenley, resident of Memphis with extended family members in Shelby, Fayette and Hardeman Counties departed this life Saturday morning, January 5, 2013 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis. He was 43 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.
Family Members and Friends of Mr. Kenley gathered for a Service of Remembrance at the Open Arms Care Center in Bartlett on Thursday, January 10th to celebrate his life. Interment was private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Kenley was born September 29, 1969 in Bangkok, Thailand, the son of Nancy Jo Brennan Kenley and the late Kenneth L. Kenley. K.K. was a Christian and was one of God’s ‘Special Children’. He had been a resident of Open Arms Care Center for 19 years.
Favorite pastimes included watching special television programs and riding the tractor with his sister. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor and he loved entertaining his friends and family with his pleasant personality and enthusiasm for life.
Mr. Kenley is survived by his mother, Nancy Jo Kenley of Lakeland, Tennessee and his sister, Kendra Kenley-Vinson of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee. Mr. Kenley was preceded in death by his brother, Kurt Kenley.
