KIM TIGNOR REED

January 22, 1978 — October 23, 2009

KIMBERLY DAWN TIGNOR (KIM) REED, a resident of the Finger Community near Henderson with family members in the Fayette County area died Friday, October 23, 2009 at her residence. She was 31 years of age and died unexpectedly.

Funeral services for Mrs. Reed were conducted at 3 P.M. Wednesday, October 28th at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the McNairy Community with Rev. Danny Rowland and Rev. Chris Kinchen, officiating. Interment followed in the Finger Cemetery at Finger, Tennessee. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Reed was born January 22, 1978 in Jackson, Tennessee the daughter of James "Bruce" Tignor and the former Royce Ann King.

She was a graduate of McNairy Central High School and at the time of her death was pursuing her degree as an Education Major at the University of Tennessee at Martin Satellite Campus in Selmer.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and will be remembered by family and friends as a person with an outgoing personality who loved life.

She enjoyed working with children and her interests included crafts and ceramics.

She was married September 2, 2001 to Richard Lynn Reed, an employee of the Piggly Wiggly Food Store in Henderson, who survives.

In addition to her husband, survivors of Mrs. Reed include her daughter, Merideth Leighann Reed of Finger, TN; a son, Mason Lynn Reed of Finger, TN; her mother, Royce Tignor of Bethel Springs, TN; her father, Bruce Tignor (Betty) of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Sherry Taylor (Keith) of Bethel Springs, TN and Julea Tignor of Jackson, TN and two brothers, James (Patrick) Tignor (Tonya) of Finger, TN and Nathan Tignor of Jackson, TN.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wyatt Landon Reed.

Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Robert Harris, David Miller, Shane Pierce, James Pind, Andy Reed and Chris Reed.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
