Larry Houston Kutz

Larry Houston Kutz, age 73, resident of Oakland and husband of Barbara Thompson Kutz, departed this life Friday evening, August 24, 2018 at his residence.

Services and interment for Mr. Kutz were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Larry was born August 15, 1945 in Bristol, Tennessee. He moved with his family to the Memphis area and was a graduate of Kingsbury High School. He was married April 8, 1967 to the former Barbara Jeanne Thompson and he was employed with the City of Memphis as a firefighter before his retirement in 1987. Larry was most recently a resident of the Oakland area for three years and was a member of Warren Community Church.

Mr. Kutz is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Thompson Kutz of Oakland, TN; his daughter, Keri Morris (Thomas) of Whiteville, TN; his son, Paul Kutz (Angela) of Oakland, TN; two sisters, Maxie Marks of Dandridge, TN, Karen Spence of Grass Valley, CA; six grandchildren, Drew Kutz, Zach Bing, Luke Kutz, Kaleb Kutz, Koby Morris, Dylan Morris; and three great-grandchildren, Kalianna Kutz, Logan Kutz and Hazel Bing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Odell Kutz and Omega LeFevre Kutz and three brothers, Von Kutz, Buddy Kutz and Darryl Kutz.
