Laurie Ann (Scott) Hunter

April 12, 1974 — January 8, 2018

Laurie Ann Hunter, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, departed this life on January 8, 2018 in her home at the age of 43.

Laurie was born April 12, 1974 to Warren and Brenda Scott in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Collierville High School and received her Associate’s Degree from State Tech. Laurie was employed by FedEx for over 20 years and truly loved her job and work family. She enjoyed camping and spending time at Pickwick Lake. Laurie was an avid Tennessee football fan and loved softball just as much. She was proud of her log cabin home and loved when family and friends came together for cookouts. Laurie’s true and abiding passions were her family, friends, and her beloved pets (Haley, Ci Ci and Ty).  Many close to Laurie referred to her as “Yaurie.” She was deeply loved by so many. Laurie’s radiant smile, unique laugh, and loving spirit will be greatly missed.

Laurie’s beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her parents, Warren and Brenda Scott of Williston, TN; her grandfather, Tom Brooks of Oakland, TN; aunts and uncles, Teresa Howell (Chris), Sharon Smith (Gene), Debra Condon (Paul), Ann Rhodes (Mark), Sandra Scott and Richie Scott (Jean); several cousins, Christopher Howell, Brooke Howell, Scott Torian (Julie), Carl Rowan, Jr., Kristy Willis (Robert), Whitney Walter, Clint McClure (Kelly), Scott Rhodes (Joy), Aubrey Kobernus (Chris), Tim Scott, Mark Scott (Tammi), Victoria Scott; and a host of cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Brooks, grandparents Buck and Dorothy Scott and uncles, Tommy Brooks and Bobby Scott.

Services of Remembrance were conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel with Pastor Furniss Harkness of Bethany Christian Church in Eads officiating. Interment followed at the Bethany Cemetery in Eads.
